Do I need a reservation to tour the distillery?

Space is limited, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation for the tour experience. Fridays and Saturdays are especially busy. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.

Reservations are also recommended if you would like to enjoy a cocktail or small plate at The Bar at Willett to ensure we can best accommodate you.

Willett is located off Loretto Road in Bardstown, KY. We fall in the eastern time zone.

What are your hours of operation?

The Willett Whiskey Shop is open Monday – Saturday 10AM – 5:30PM with tours on the hour, beginning at 11am. The last tour begins at 4pm. The Bar at Willett is open Wednesday – Saturday 11AM – 5:30PM. The property is closed to the public on Sundays.  

Where can I find your product for purchase?

Contact us for information specific to your location. 

Do you offer tastings?

Sample flights are available for purchase at our patio bar. We do not offer a ticketed tasting experience, but rather a self-guided flight to be enjoyed at your leisure. 

When is the bar open?

The Bar at Willett is open Wednesday – Saturday starting at 11AM. The Willett Whiskey Shop is open Monday – Saturday 10AM – 5:30PM with tours offered hourly. The property is closed to the public on Sundays.  

Do I need a reservation for The Bar at Willett?

Seating is limited. To best accommodate you, we highly recommend making a reservation. Anyone wishing to dine without a reservation, should check in with the hostess by phone at 502.507.9396 or in person at the hostess stand for realtime seating availability information.  

Where can I buy used barrels?

Our used barrels are distributed by our partner Midwest Barrel Company. For more information visit midwestbarrelco.com

Do you sell anything exclusively at the distillery?

Old Bardstown Bottled in Bond is distributed exclusively in the Commonwealth of KY.  If you are looking for something you cannot purchase at home, keep an eye out for this label.    

Where do I send charity solicitations? 

Thank you for your commitment to supporting a cause you are passionate about.  It warms our heart to learn of all the meaningful work our friends are doing. Please provide the details of your solicitation to admin@willettdistillery.com so that we can consider the programs we are able to best support at this time. 

Are pets allowed?

For the safety of our furry friends, service pets and our resident distillery cats are the only animals permitted on tours. Pets are allowed onsite with leashes or carriers. Please be aware our parking lot is not shaded so pets may not be left in vehicles.

Are kids allowed?

Children are welcome at our family distillery. However, it is important to note that our property houses a manufacturing facility with specific safety instructions and restrictions. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult on all areas of the property for their safety.  

Is Uber and Lyft readily available in the area?

Nope. We recommend scheduling a safe ride in advance. 

Can I buy a bottle and drink it on property? Can I bring alcohol to consume onsite? 

Nope. That is illegal. You may purchase beverages by the drink to consume onsite. We offer coffee, tea, cocktails and whiskey pours.  

How do I cancel my reservation? 

Reservations can easily be cancelled by following the promptings on your reservation confirmation email. A refund (minus the processing fee), will be distributed to the payment method used to make the reservation, if you cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled tour.
